To reprogram the remote key fob of a Peugeot 206, get inside the vehicle, insert the key into the ignition switch and turn the ignition on without starting the engine. Within a few seconds, press and hold the lock button on the remote for about 10 seconds. Release the button and turn off the instrument cluster. Remove the key from the ignition and wait a few seconds. Next, press the lock or unlock button to check the synchronisation. If the procedure is successful, the remote will again control the central locking of the vehicle correctly.
