You can replace the transmission on a Piaggio Beverly 400 by loosening the screws that secure the cover located near the rear wheel on the left side: once the cover is removed, you will be able to locate the underlying transmission. The screws securing the variator and the clutch must be loosened to extract these two components and the corresponding belt: at this point, you can position all the new components to secure them and cover everything with the cover to check proper operation.
