As shown in the video, the first step to dismantle the engine on your Piaggio Ciao scooter is to remove the covers where the pedals and exhaust are located. Remove the spark plug cap and the decompressor, then use a 5 pence coin to unscrew the screw of the engine cover. Remove the bracket and disconnect the two electrical wires. Close the fuel tap. Loosen the three screws holding the engine as shown in the video and gently pull the engine block forward using a lever or your hands. Dismantle the air filter and throttle valve. Remove the carburettor and coil, and unscrew the spark plug counterclockwise. Unscrew the three screws you loosened earlier, and you will have dismantled your engine.
