In order to replace the transmission belt of the Piaggio Vespa 50 LX it is necessary to loosen the bolts that fix the side panels of the left side of the bike, at the rear wheel. When this panel has been removed, it will be possible to access the underlying casing, which must be opened by unscrewing the fixing bolts of the cover. When the latter has been removed, it will be possible to unscrew the bolts that fix the variator and the clutch centrally, so that the belt can be removed. Then you will need to insert a new one, assembling all the previously disassembled components.

Today we will see, in this short and simple guide, how to replace the transmission oil of the Piaggio Vespa Px 125, but also of the Lml Star 125 2-stroke. First of all we put the central stand and we start to unscrew the oil vent bolt of the transmission, which we find on the right side casing; to do this we use a 10 mm socket wrench, letting the oil drain in a container for about ten minutes. At this point we unscrew the filler screw, in order to let the oil flow more quickly; then we finally top up, following the video to the end!
