To replace the rear shock absorber on the Piaggio Zip, lift the seat to access the lower part of the under-seat compartment. Here, detach the plastic cover at the base to access the screws securing the rear shock absorber from the top. You will then be able to access the lower part of the shock absorber after removing the air filter box: this will allow you to loosen the screw and completely remove the shock absorber.

After removal, insert the new replacement part, then reassemble all the removed parts.

Vespa Immobiliser: How to Transfer the Chip from the Old Key

In the case shown in the video, the new keys are not recognised by the ECU: the Vespa starts but does not run (thus the immobiliser is active). The solution shown in the video involves locating the immobiliser chip in the old key (the one recognised by the ECU). Open the cover on the key (only red master keys or some blue ones), remove the chip (which is a small black cylinder or rectangle), insert it into the new key in place of the new one, and try to start. Now the key will work. If the master key is red, it will definitely work. If it is blue, it might work: you need to cut the silicone; this is possible but a delicate operation. If it is a black clone key, then it is a system that does not work.
