To replace the rear brake shoes on a Piaggio Ciao, you need to loosen the central nut that secures the drum located at the centre of the rear wheel: once the nut is loosened, you can detach the drum with the shoes inside. The shoes must be detached from their respective spring mechanisms by removing the corresponding hooks: once the old shoes have been removed, you can insert the new ones, connecting them with the hooks; finally, you will need to resecure the brake drum with the corresponding bolt.
