To replace the rear brake pads on a Piaggio MP3 500, first loosen the bolts securing the exhaust to its housing and remove it completely. Once the exhaust is removed, also loosen the screws securing the support at the rear to access the bolts holding the rear wheel. Now, you can loosen the bolts securing the wheel to the swingarm, detach it completely, and access the caliper. The caliper must be released from its housing by loosening the screws and removing the pads inside.
