To open the underseat compartment of a Piaggio MP3 when the battery is flat, you can perform an emergency procedure: first, open the glove compartment located at the rear of the scooter. Inside, you will find a latch that needs to be moved to the left to unlock the seat. This will allow you to lift it completely and access the underseat compartment; you can then close the compartment again by lowering the seat and securing it in its lock.
