To change the key battery of a Porsche Boxster, start by removing the small cover on the back of the key using a small flathead screwdriver or a similar tool. Gently insert the screwdriver into the slot and pry it open to lift the cover.

Once the cover is removed, you will see the battery. Note the orientation of the battery before removing it. Carefully extract the dead battery using the screwdriver or your fingers.

Insert a new battery of the correct type (usually a CR2032) in the same orientation as the old one, ensuring that the contacts are properly aligned. After inserting the new battery, replace the cover by pressing it until it clicks into place.

Check that the key functions correctly by testing the buttons to ensure the signal is transmitted to the car.
