How to replace the battery in a Porsche Boxer? This video explains how to remove the battery: open the car's hood by pulling the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard and lift the front hood, disengaging the lock lever with your fingers, then secure it with the prop rod. Once the engine compartment is open, you will find the battery to be replaced in the center. Start by loosening the battery terminal bolts with a socket wrench, disconnect the hold-down bracket (if present). Remove the old battery and install a new one, tightening the power terminals. Close the hood after maintenance.
