Detailed instructions - Let's see how to reset the service light on a Dodge Ram 1500: turn the ignition on by turning the key to the "ON" position, then press and release the brake pedal twice, pressing down fully. Next, slowly press the accelerator pedal to the floor twice. Now turn off the ignition. Turn it back on, and the light should be gone. On some versions of the Ram, there is an even simpler method that requires only pressing the accelerator pedal while the ignition is on, pressing it to the floor three times within 10 seconds. Turn off the ignition. If the first method does not work, try this one.
