Replacing the Third Brake Light Bulbs on Ram 1500 [USA]

You can replace the rear lights (those located above the tailgate) with much brighter and more powerful bulbs. To do this, follow these steps: use a screwdriver to remove the screws securing the light assembly, then carefully remove the light assembly, making sure not to lose the clips between the screw and the tailgate. Access the back of the light and unscrew the bulbs. Take the new bulbs and install them by inserting them into the socket and twisting them. Reposition the clips before reinstalling the light assembly and screw the screws back in.
