How to remove the centre console on a Renault Megane. Position the gear knob vertically, then use a plastic lever to pry off the covering located at the bottom of the centre console, remove the leather gaiter from the gear lever and the knob (if necessary). After removing the knob and gaiter, unscrew the securing screw located at the back of the centre console with a screwdriver. Once this is done, pull the console away with the armrest, disconnect any power cables. Finally, insert the new piece into the centre console space, reassemble all components of the glove compartment as they were removed earlier.
