Which Switch to Replace if the Clock and Display on the Renault Scenic II Reset

On many Renault Scenic II models, the dashboard display may have a fault, causing the clock and settings to reset at each start, and the screen becomes completely black. The culprit is often a "mosfet", which is an electronic switch used to control the flow of current in a circuit. Its code is IRF3710, and on Amazon, you can purchase a kit of 5 pieces for £7.99, with free delivery for Prime customers. This mosfet overheats and fails due to weak soldering. To repair it, remove the dashboard panel and open the electronic board. Locate the mosfet on the back: often the area appears yellowed. Instead of removing it directly (which is difficult), cut the connections from the board and solder the new mosfet externally, creating a small bridge with wires to the correct pins. Once replaced, reassemble the panel and start the engine. The clock will keep the time, and the display will function correctly again. The repair is simple and cost-effective.
