How to Activate and Deactivate the Fog Lights on the Renault Captur I

To activate and deactivate the fog lights on the Renault Captur I (2013-2019), the procedure varies depending on the year and trim level. Method 1 (left stalk): first, turn on the dipped headlights.

Then, rotate the central ring of the left stalk (the one for the indicators) upwards to turn on the front fog lights and downwards for the rear fog light. The icons on the instrument cluster confirm activation.

To turn them off, rotate the ring back or set it to position 0. Method 2 (dial on the dashboard): on some versions, the dial is located on the dashboard to the left of the steering wheel. To turn on the fog lights, do not rotate but pull the dial towards you (as if to detach it). This may depend on the version or year.

In both cases, the principle is the same: first the dipped headlights, then the front fog lights, and finally the rear fog light. If the "rotate the dial" method does not work on your Captur, try looking for the dial on the dashboard and pull it towards you. The indicators on the cluster always confirm activation.
