The illuminated buttons of the Renault Captur II

The design of the buttons located below the display follows a modern and asymmetrical logic: the symbols are illuminated, while the surface of the button remains dark. The buttons that have an "active" state (such as the window lock or door lock) have a dedicated orange/amber LED indicator that lights up or turns off to show whether that function is active or not. These lights are located in the door panel; in the centre console; of course, the touchscreen display and USB-C ports in the console; the buttons on the steering wheel, the climate control commands; the indicator lever, and the gear selector. All this is to achieve a modern and clean aesthetic, functional clarity, and reliability.
