Dismantling the Instrument Cluster to Replace a Bulb

Model: Renault Clio Clio 2, MK 2 - Years 1998-2005
Part: Instrument cluster

Removing the entire instrument cluster is a straightforward but not quick task. To avoid damaging plastic parts during removal and installation, place a cloth or something similar on the steering column. Remove the various plastic covers until you reach the base of the cluster, which hides the three fixing screws. Remove the three screws and, with great care, pull the entire instrument cluster outwards, being mindful of the various connectors at the back. Carefully disconnect all connectors to avoid tearing any wires. Replace the faulty bulb and reassemble the instrument cluster in reverse order. Check that everything works perfectly.

How to Remove the Front Shock Absorber on a Peugeot 406

How to remove the front shock absorber on a Peugeot 406? The first step is to lift the bonnet and secure it with the prop rod. Use a socket wrench to unscrew the shock absorber mounting bolts (engine bay), lift the car on a column lift and remove the front wheel. Unscrew the shock absorber mounting bolts at the wheel hub (detach the brake line clips with a screwdriver). Unscrew the bolts on the side, then remove the shock absorber from its housing (place a support under the bar). Compare the old part with the new one and prepare for installation. Fit the new shock absorber to the car, working in reverse order.
