When working with the engine off and the handbrake on, lift the hood and put on the special support rod. Then lift the vehicle and secure it as shown in the video. Place a container under the oil compartment and unscrew the drain bolt. Collect the oil in the container and dispose of it correctly at the appropriate ecological islands. While the oil is running out, you can proceed to replace the filter: to access it you must first remove the air duct. Close the oil drain hole and fill in the new oil from the appropriate cap in the engine compartment: use a 5W-40.

Fiat Ducato 2.8 JTD gearbox oil replacement

Let's see in this guide the main steps to be able to change the transmission oil of the second series Fiat Ducato, with 2.8 JTD engine. First of all we lift the car and go to locate the gear oil vent bolt, which we find near the transmission; we use a hex wrench to unscrew it, letting it drain the old oil in a container for about ten minutes. At this point we open the bonnet and remove the air intake sleeve, so as to be able to access the gearbox oil filling hole; then we fill up to the maximum level!
