Diagnosis and Repair of a Rear Light Problem
Model: Renault Clio
MK 2, Clio 2
- Years 1998-2005
On this Renault Clio, there is an issue with a fog light that activates when braking or changing gear. This problem is quite common in the Renault Clio and Megane Scenic, but it can also occur in other models. Often, the issue may stem from oxidation of the bulb holder. Troubleshooting should be done through trial and error. In this case, both rear light clusters are removed. Starting from the boot, unscrew the light held by the screw located on the interior trim. Once the light cluster is removed, disconnect the connector. This procedure is repeated for both lights, checking (with a brake test while the car is stationary) if the problem persists. The fault, in this case, is identified in the right rear light. Test the braking without the bulbs in the light. The issue concerns the bulb holder! In this case, the entire rear light cluster is replaced, which should be installed by reversing the disassembly steps.

How to Remove the Door Panel from a Renault Modus
How to remove the door panel from a Renault Modus? Follow this video to see how to proceed. Before starting the disassembly, disconnect the battery terminals located in the engine bay. Begin disassembly: remove the satin screw covers located on the door opening lever, use a screwdriver to unscrew the screw, and unscrew the screws located in the handle. Once removed, also unscrew the one around the door panel. Detach the door panel, disconnect the window regulator and speaker connectors. Do not lose any of the clips located behind the plastic panel that was removed first. Now that the door panel is removed, peel off the adhesive covering from the metal and work on the pieces to be removed. Finally, reassemble everything in reverse order. by ScegliAuto More videos
