Instructions for Removing Front Driveshaft

Model: Renault Modus MK 1 - Years 2004-2013
Part: Control arm

To replace the front driveshaft, lift the vehicle (on a ramp or suitable car stands), remove the front wheel, the tie rod end from the steering rack, and the suspension wishbone. To extract the latter from its seat, use a dedicated fork puller. Once the hub is freed, unscrew the central nut securing the driveshaft. Before completely removing the nut, tap on it to dislodge the splines of the driveshaft, then extract it completely first from the wheel side and finally from the gearbox side using a screwdriver as leverage.
