How do you replace the gear knob on the Renault Laguna?

In order to replace the Renault Laguna gear knob, you need to pry the lower part of the leather boot that wraps the gear lever, so that the fixing clips underneath can be detached. After the headset has therefore been released, it will be possible to lift it and rotate the gear knob anticlockwise, so that it too can be removed from its seat. At this point you can insert the new knob and then fix the clips of the gearshift gaiter to the base as well: in this way it will be possible to check that there are no problems during gear changes.
