If a Renault Twingo has a flat battery, even if we open it with the key, we will not be able to open the tailgate, because it goes to the centralized one and does not open. We access the rear seats and fold the rear seat: we remove the parcel shelf to move better inside it. Now with a small screwdriver, push the red rod that can be seen inside the lock to the right. Pushing up the tailgate opens it. Of course this is an emergency procedure to access the tailgate. The right solution in this case is to change the battery, but to solve an emergency that's just fine.
