How to replace the tailgate lock on the Renault Clio?

To replace the tailgate lock on the Renault Clio, open the tailgate to access the four screws securing the inner panel to the tailgate: once these screws are removed, detach the inner panel and unscrew the screws that secure the lock itself. The lock can now be extracted from its housing by disconnecting the connector inside; after the old lock has been completely removed, connect the new one, securing it with bolts and refitting the tailgate panel.
