Issue with Rear Fog Light Indicator

Model: Renault Clio Clio 2, MK 2 - Years 1998-2005
Part: Warning light – error code

If pressing the brake pedal or engaging reverse causes the rear fog light indicator to illuminate on the dashboard, there is certainly an issue with the rear lights. Start by disconnecting the connector from the left rear light and repeat the check: if the indicator still lights up, the problem lies with the right light. Disconnecting the connector from the right light should resolve the issue, but you need to determine whether the cause is in the connector or the bulb holder. Repeat the check by removing the bulbs: if the indicator lights up again, to confirm that the issue is with the bulb holder, connect the right one to the left light's connector: if the problem reappears, it definitely depends on the right bulb holder; therefore, you need to replace it with a new or used one.
