Instructions for Replacing Rear Shock Absorbers

Position the vehicle on suitable car stands and remove the rear wheel; apply a jack under the suspension to support it during the removal of the shock absorber, which in this case consists of just the damper as the spring is directly housed on the rear axle; then unscrew the mounting bolt of the damper to the axle and then the nut securing the shaft to the top of the chassis in the boot; extract the bellows from the old shock absorber and fit it to the new one, proceeding in reverse for the installation and perhaps also replacing the upper support rubber.
