How to Unlock the Fuel Flap on a Renault Modus

Many cars are equipped with a supplementary system to unlock the fuel flap, while in many others, like the one in question, the opening and closing of the flap occurs simultaneously with the central locking; however, it may happen that even if the doors open, the flap remains closed due to a malfunction of the related lock: the designers anticipated this eventuality and implemented a manual unlocking device accessible from the boot; therefore, open the rear bonnet and remove the side plastic grille to view the flap lock: near the white pin is the tab that allows you to unlock and open the flap.

Locate the inspection cap of the headlamp (at the rear of the headlamp) and remove it.
