Rear Shock Absorber Replacement

Model: Renault Twingo Twingo 2 - Years 2007-2014
Part: Shocks

Replacing the rear shock absorber is straightforward since the suspension spring is not co-axial with the shock absorber but is directly attached to the rear axle. Start by removing the carpet lining in the boot, directly above the shock absorber mount. To remove one of the push-fit clips, detach the lamp holder attached to the parcel shelf support. Once the lining is removed, undo the nut securing the rod and proceed to the lower pin that secures the shock absorber to the hub support. Use a jack under the suspension to support it while removing the pin. Then, reverse the process to install the new shock absorber, using the top rubber from the old one.

How to Remove the Centre Console on a Renault Scenic

Watch this video to learn how to remove the glove compartment from the rear cover of the centre console on a Renault Scenic. Use a plastic lever to pry at the edge of the side plastics as shown in the video. Once the plastics are removed, unscrew the screws located at the sides of the centre console with a suitable screwdriver, and disconnect all the power connectors. Remove the side rests from the glove compartment. Fit the new piece onto the centre cover and proceed with the assembly of the remaining parts, working in reverse order.
