Rear Shock Absorber Replacement

Replacing the rear shock absorber is generally simpler than the front one since the spring and damper are separate; lift the vehicle and remove the plastic cover applied to the suspension to access the shock absorber mounting nut; lower the vehicle by placing a support jack under the suspension and access the boot, remove the support plate and the cover underneath to dismantle the shock absorber mounting pin located laterally; then move to the lower nut, remove the old shock absorber and insert the new one, proceeding in reverse for installation.
