Front Shock Absorber Replacement
Model: Renault Clio
MK 4, Clio 4, Clio IV
- Years 2012-2019
To replace the front shock absorbers, first obtain the appropriate spring compressors; start by lifting the vehicle on a ramp and removing the front wheel; spray some penetrating oil on the pins, free the grommets, remove the support brackets, and disconnect the link from the shock absorber before removing the two pins that secure the shock absorber to the hub support; lower the vehicle to access the engine bay and remove the wiper arms to then take off the plastic cover under the windscreen and access the strut tops; at this point, unscrew the mounting nuts of the shock absorber support and pull it out of its seat; apply the compressors to the spring and compress it enough to detach the support from the shaft; insert the new bellows, spring, and a new support onto the shaft, orienting it correctly, then proceed in reverse for the installation back onto the vehicle.

How to Install Universal Roof Bars on a Renault Clio
Install universal roof bars on a Renault Clio. Universal roof bars are used on cars with roof rails (fixed bar secured to the roof of the car) and without. Fit the bar kit (as shown in the video) with the bars adjusted according to the width of the car. Position the brackets at both ends of the doors on the car's original roof rails. Once you have adjusted the width of the anchoring brackets (measure with a tape measure), tighten the bolts with the butterfly nut (if a lock is present) until fully secured to the roof rails. Finally, fit the safety caps on both sides. by ScegliAuto More videos
