In order to replace the gear knob of the Renault Talisman, you need to use a tool like a screwdriver to pry and detach the securing ring located at the base of the knob. Once this ring is detached, you can free the ring from the end of the gear lever, allowing it to be completely removed. Once the old knob is removed, you can insert the new one onto the end of the gear lever and reattach the ring at the base. This way, you can ensure that the new knob is properly secured.
