Where to Find the Legal Frame Number (VIN) on a Renault Megane IV

In this video, you will see where to locate the legal frame number (VIN) on a Renault Megane IV, which includes all vehicles produced from 2015 to the present. The legal frame number is not the one found on the plate at the base of the windscreen on the driver's side: that is just a courtesy plate used to move cars until they are registered. It is also not the metal plate found in the thickness of the driver's door, which is a production plate affixed by the factory. The VIN is stamped onto the chassis and on the Megane, it is located in a very inaccessible spot: by opening the passenger door, it can be found between the front struts of the door, and it is read vertically, starting with VF1 followed by an alphanumeric series totalling 17 digits.
