How to Remove the Cabin Fan from the Renault Clio

Model: Renault Clio Clio 2, MK 2 - Years 1998-2005

The cabin fan, despite its function, is not located in the cabin as one might imagine. It is positioned in the engine bay, on the passenger side, just below the windscreen. Once you open the front bonnet, remove the plastic cover to access the fan housing. At this point, remove the air duct and unscrew the two bolts that secure the complete fan motor to its support. Then disconnect the connectors and complete the disassembly by extracting the unit from its housing. Generally, a clean of the fan and the motor brushes is sufficient to get it working again.
