How to Remove the Rear View Mirror Shell on Most Renault Vehicles

Model: Renault Renault Various
Part: Side mirror

Video tutorial

In this video, we will see how to remove the shell of the external rear view mirror on most recent Renault vehicles. Using a plastic spatula, pry behind the mirror to detach it from its housing; if necessary, assist yourself with a small screwdriver.

Remove the electrical connector, and then, using the spatula, pry to remove the shell: you will need to separate the pins from the housing that attaches to the mirror, which are located one at the top and one at the side. These are very fragile tabs that can break easily.

To refit the shell, start by positioning the lower pin and then press the sides to engage them. Now refit the mirror, starting by inserting the electrical connector and then press the glass in the centre.
