Location of the legal chassis number (VIN) on the Renault Clio II
Model: Renault Clio
MK 2, Clio 2
- Years 1998-2005
We can see in this video where the legal chassis number is located (that is, the one stamped on the actual chassis of the car) and not on removable plates, such as the one found on the left side of the car, at the bottom of the windshield, or the metal one usually found in the thickness of the driver's door. These two plates are: the first one a courtesy plate that is used to move the car until it has a license plate, while the second one is the car's identity card, and also shows the color codes of the body and interior. Therefore, we find the legal chassis number imprinted under the floor mat on the front right side of the car, in a carpet recess.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHow to Remove the CV Boot on Fiat Panda
Let’s see how to remove the boot from the joint on a Fiat Panda. After positioning your car on a column lift: raise it to a comfortable height to work on, loosen the wheel nuts (using a socket wrench or air drill) and remove the wheel. Begin unscrewing the brake disc bolts with a socket wrench. Remove the bolts located under the disc and completely detach the wheel hub. Pull the arm around the joint with your hands. Fit the new boot (after removing the old one) onto the constant velocity joint, then start reassembling all the parts in reverse order. by ScegliAuto More videos
