Precautions to Prevent Rust on Wheel Arches

Model: Seat Ibiza 6L - Years 2002-2009
Part: Body

Many car manufacturers offer a warranty on the bodywork that is much longer than the standard twelve months, so it can be useful to take some precautions to preserve the bodywork. One reason rust often forms is due to persistent moisture from polyurethane supports (a type of sponge) that remain damp for a long time and in contact with the bodywork. In this case, applying insulating products to the bodywork at the point of contact with the support can be effective. In the video, the wheel arch is removed and the bodywork is insulated at the point of contact with the 'sponge' support.
