Opening the Rear Bonnet from the Inside

Model: Seat Ibiza 6L - Years 2002-2009

If the rear bonnet does not open when pulling the release lever (in this vehicle, the lever is the badge located at the centre of the bonnet), it is possible that the locking mechanism has jammed. Access the boot by folding down the rear seat backrest, detach the plastic trim panel (it is secured with pressure clips) until you reach the lock and manually release the catch. Once the bonnet is open, complete the removal of the panel and generously lubricate the lock.
