In an emergency, if the boot won't open, it may be necessary to replace the lock, but if the boot still won't open, you need to access it from the inside. To open the boot from the inside on a Seat Ibiza, recline the rear seats and then remove the rear panel by unscrewing the screws.

Once the panel is removed, insert a star screwdriver into the lock to push the white lever and unlock the boot. Once the boot is open, you can replace the lock.
