How to Replace the Gear Knob on a Seat Altea

To replace the gear knob on a Seat Altea, use a tool to pry off the leather gaiter that wraps around the lever, releasing it from the corresponding clips at the base. Once the leather gaiter is lifted, detach the ring at the base of the knob. This will allow you to completely remove the old knob along with the gaiter. You can then fit the new knob, securing it with the ring at its base and inserting the clips of the leather gaiter into the central tunnel at the base.
