How to Remove the Seats from the Seat Alhambra/Volkswagen Sharan

Removing the seats from the Seat Alhambra (and its twin, the Volkswagen Sharan) requires careful attention to the fixings and connectors. For each seat, locate the four Torx T40 bolts that secure it to the floor: two at the front and two at the rear.

Undo them with an appropriate socket wrench. Before extracting the seat, unclip the side plastic cover that hides the electrical connectors (heating, sensors).

Gently pull the plastic to detach it, then press the connector's latch to disconnect it. The seat is now free and can be removed. To refit, proceed in reverse order: reconnect the connector, reposition the plastic cover, insert the seat, and tighten the four Torx T40 bolts.

This procedure is valid for both models.

To remove the rear seat of a Hyundai Tucson, follow these steps. Start by moving the front seats to their most forward position to gain space. Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins. Once unlocked, tilt the seat upwards and forwards to remove it from its position. Repeat this process for both sides of the rear seat.
