How to Repair the Light Switch on the Seat Ibiza

In this video, you will learn how to repair the light switch on the Seat Ibiza: the non-functional lights were the position lights and the dipped beams. Remove the switch knob by pulling it from its housing: this is not difficult, just pry it a bit with a plastic spatula and then pull it towards you, disconnecting the electrical connectors at the back. Once extracted, remove the light plate and lift the metal connectors: now you can see where the problem is: it is clear that one connector is burnt and bent from the heat. You will need to lift this terminal and completely remove it by filing down the plastics that hold it and the rivets that secure it. Straighten the bent base and sand it down so that it matches the other pieces. Then, replace the rivets and reinstall everything back into the cylinder with the light plate. You can then reposition everything and test it.
