How to Reset the Service Light on a Škoda Octavia

Model: Skoda Octavia MK 2, 1Z - Years 2004-2012

From the instrument cluster of the Škoda Octavia, you can clear the Service light by pressing and holding the button located in the centre of the instrument cluster, just below the central screen. While holding this button, the instrument cluster must be turned off: then, you can insert the ignition key and turn it to switch on the instrument cluster. In this way, after a moment, you will notice that the maintenance interval is reset and the Service light will disappear from the instrument cluster; the instrument cluster can then be turned off and back on to verify the reset.
