To replace the remote battery on a Škoda Octavia, press the button that releases the key from its housing: this allows the key to be extracted, and you can then pry open the casing. This will detach the panel on the back of the remote to access the underlying battery: the old battery can then be removed to insert the new one. Finally, close everything with the panel and check its functionality.
