How to Remove the Hood of the Smart Cabrio

To remove the hood of the Smart Fortwo Cabrio, first, turn on the ignition and press the button to open the hood. Once this is done, open the rear boot and, on the inner face of the boot lid, unlock the two straps that allow you to open the inner panel, giving access to the area underneath. At this point, proceed to remove the two side bars located above the doors, which also act as guides for the hood's movement. To do this, simply operate the small lever at the front of each bar that holds it in place. Once removed, the bars can be stored in the glove compartment inside the boot, and you’re done.
