To remove the hood of the Smart Cabrio, lower it completely by pressing the appropriate button located inside the cabin: once the hood is lowered, open the rear hatch of the car and remove the clips securing the hood in place. By disconnecting the underlying connectors, you can completely remove the hood from its housing and insert the new spare part; this can be secured in its housing by connecting the connectors and fastening the part with screws, then checking that it operates correctly.
