To replace the air filter that feeds the engine of the Smart Fortwo, we open the rear hatch in its two parts, turn the locking screw of the lower panel of the cargo compartment and remove it. We find the filter on the driver's side, loosen the air duct clamps and slide it out, unhook the three metal clips of the cover and remove it by sliding it to the right.

We remove the old filter, vacuum the inside and insert the new filter element, put back the cover and lock it, insert the tube and tighten its clamps.

Put back the partition and lock it with the screw.

Replacing the Gear Knob on the Renault Espace

The following steps will show you how to remove and replace the gear knob of the manual gearbox on the Renault Espace. First, get in the vehicle and start by removing the small upper cover of the knob; to remove it, simply pull the gear knob upwards with force to detach it from the lever, as shown in the video. At this point, remove and replace the gear gaiter if necessary, installing the new one; finally, insert the new gear knob, securing it properly onto the lever (ensure there is no play between the lever and the knob).
