How do you repair the Smart car's convertible top?

To repair the Smart's convertible top, you will need to press the appropriate button located inside the car to fully uncover the top. Once the top is completely lowered, you will need to detach the side plastic panels, underneath which the motors for opening and closing are located.

Once these motors are accessible, they will need to be replaced or repaired if damaged.

Then the top will need to be properly tensioned and finally closed again by pressing the button.
