How to remove the fuel filter located in a Smart Roadster? The first step is to unscrew the wheel securing bolts using a suitable socket wrench, lift the car on a column lift, and remove the front wheel. Unscrew the securing bolts of the plastic splash guard with a socket wrench (detach the brake circuit hoses using a screwdriver). Unscrew the bolts on the side and pull out the fuel filter from its housing (place a container underneath to catch any fluid spills). Compare the old part with the new one and prepare for installation. Fit the new fuel filter onto the vehicle, working in reverse order.
