Before starting, open the rear hatch of the boot on your Smart ForTwo. Start by unscrewing and removing the screws that secure the rear bumper to the chassis, located around the entire perimeter of the bumper. Next, unclip and remove the fastening clips.

By doing this, you will have freed the rear bumper. At this point, unclip and remove the bumper itself, then take it off. Once you have completed this step, you will have finished removing the rear bumper from your Smart ForTwo.
