Let's see today, in this short and simple guide, how to remove and replace the remote control battery of the Smart Fortwo key. First we take our remote control in hand and begin to pry the sides on the back to open the remote control shells in two parts; after which we remove the electronic board to access the battery compartment, as shown in the video. At this point, remove the battery and replace it with the new one (in this case a 3V CR 2016); insert it in the correct direction and assemble the remote control again, following the video to the end!
