Starting a Smart with a Flat Battery

Model: Smart Smart 451 - Years 2007-2015

Today, you will start a Smart 451 with a flat battery. Enter the vehicle from the passenger side, lift the carpet under the mat to locate the battery to power through the starter booster. Once you find the battery, turn on the starter booster and connect the red cable to the side with the +(positive) symbol and the black cable to the side with the -(negative) symbol. Now, simply turn on the ignition and start the vehicle, waiting a few seconds with the engine running before disconnecting the starter booster. Replace the carpet you removed earlier, and your work ends here, but remember not to turn off the engine as you may need the assistance of an auto electrician for battery replacement.
